My boyfriend refuses to go to college?

So I'm 19 and recently started dating a 22 year old, granted I have known him for awhile. He just refuses to go to college even though he is bright, I just don't understand it. I am currently in college and I keep pestering him to go at which point he gets upset. I'm becoming rather irritated because it seems like he will never get the initiative to go.. He thinks that his life will be better without student loans. But with a minimum wadge job I can't see it being any better. How do you handle this problem?
